We are all set for a big day on Saturday 28 June as Power King steps into the ring to become the only horse since the legendary Pocket Power to win the Cape Winter Triple Crown.
Power King won the second leg, the Gr3 Winter Classic at Kenilworth on Saturday with ease, and he now goes 2400m for the first time.
"If it is not a mudbath on the day, we are convinced that he has the temperament and the blood to handle the 2400m. Obviously the likelihood of rain is great and as a longstriding horse, he won't enjoy that. But well done to Khaya Stables, to Maine Chance and to Silvano. A great combination and thanks also to Karl Neisius and my great team," said Dean.
